Network and System Support Services
Linux and Open Source Expertise
GLACI's roots as an Internet Service Provider has helped us build a
proven track record with server and network support. We utilize open
source technology like Linux to squeeze maximum performance from hardware
to support high volume applications. We have experience integrating Linux
and other open source tools into heterogeneous environments along side
proprietary Unix, mainframe, and Microsoft Windows Systems. Our services
also extend to network infrastructure support, especially high demand
environments utilized by ISPs.
Open source tools we use and support include but are not
limited to: Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl, PHP, Exim, RT (RequestTracker),
Nagios, Webmin, FreeRadius, Amanda (backup software), User Mode Linux,
VirtualBox, FireFox, GCC, and OpenOffice. We are particularly adept with
Red Hat, Debian, and Ubuntu servers and workstations and offer support
contracts for those systems.
Consolidation and Migration Projects
Over the years, we've helped numerous clients standardize and consolidate
their server infrastructure to realize considerable cost and efficiency
gains. In particular, GLACI has grown expert at helping companies manage
the information technology adjustments that come with a corporate merger
or acquisition. We know how to properly plan, prepare, and execute
data and service migrations in ways that minimize down-time and reduce
risk.
Remote Management
Many of our clients have reduced support costs by moving services to
high availability servers in co-located server farms. GLACI provides
remote, 24x7 management of servers under yearly support contract or
time and material terms. On site emergency service is also available
in some markets.
